The foundation was initiated by Sarfaraz Dudhwala and Asif Mansuri and on 15th October, 2017 with poha distribution at VS Hospital (Ahmedabad) at the budget of ₹750. In 2019, we started serving at Sola Civil Hospital (Ahmedabad). People found about Oreen’s work by either word of mouth or social media and many joined Oreen to help the foundation to grow slowly but steadily. We then started distributing one lunch meal on a weekly basis at these hospitals.
Under poverty alleviation program we provide guidance to the needy people as well as financial & material support to them. Such as providing help to the people who got affected by covid-19 pandemic.
Oreen Foundation aims to reduce the financial barriers that prevent ordinary Indians from being able to sleep with empty stomach. These activities will also assist to transition attitudes away from an economic transactional perspective towards a social integration perspective.Oreen Foundation is building community as well as promoting food security, an access to free meals for the disadvantaged.

We then started distributing one lunch meal on a weekly basis at these hospitals. It’s hard to believe, but there are many young people who look after their kin at these hospitals without any lunch.
The reason behind serving people at these specific two hospital comes from the humble background of Sarfaraz Dudhwala. Both the hospitals (VS Hospital and Sola Civil Hospital) are government hospitals, having said that lot of people travel 100s of KMs to get the medical treatment at these hospitals. Often, they have to spend days and night for the long treatment of their family member and many of them faces hunger issue during their away from home stay. We are not saying we are providing food to all of these people but that’s our aim and your help in this cause will help us achieve it.

We Started Public Facility Centre (Jan Suvidha Kendra), where we educate people about Governmental Schemes like Vidhava Sahay Yojana, Shramik Kamdar Card Yojana, Niradhar Yojana, Vahali Dikri Yojana, Manav Garima Yojana as well as different educational scholarships providing by government, so that the people can avail the benefits of such schemes.
COVID-19 / CORONAVIRUS A state of emergency has been declared to prevent the spread of coronavirus. While we continue to support our charity partners across Ahmedabad, Our Hospital distribution has been put on halt due to Indian government’s social distancing measures. We had provided food relief support people who have had a major impact due to COVID-19 lockdown across the city of Ahmedabad. It has affected many daily wage earners really hard and some cant event afford to buy the food for their family. The nature of daily wage work is if you don’t work, you don’t get paid and you won’t be able to feed your family if it continues.
